Mom wanted me to be a doctor-
I wanted to be a rockstar…
In the early 1990’s I was attending night school to get my degree. While driving home after classes one night, my car was struck by a hit-and-run driver. It destroyed my vehicle, my income, and my ability to continue school. I was completely derailed and I didn’t know how to get back on track. I played guitar, investigated the paranormal, began a career as a hair stylist, performed as a mentalist, became a Mac Genius, and studied to be a hypnotherapist among other things. I performed in bands playing festivals, I spoke to large groups about critical thinking and science, I conducted theatrical seances and mentalism shows, and I taught customer service techniques to companies. All the while I searched for my own meaning. I turned my love of the stage and connecting with people into becoming a successful keynote speaker who helps people understand their own innate value. I think Mom would have been proud.
